Russell, Norwich, high grade ruby cylinder fusee with chronometer balance, 54mm, silver OF original consular case bearing London hallmarks for 1821, incuse "W B" marking for casemaker William Boulton, engine turned and stippled silver dial with applied gold numerals, KWKS, ruby cylinder escapement, diamond endstone, capped escape wheel, chronometer balance with trapezoidal weights and white metal timing screws that are likely platinum or palladium, gilt mvt with engraved foliate scrolled balance cock, gilt locking dust-cap, s#5392.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with few scratches adjacent one of the pins, some mild clouding of gilt surface that might improve with cleaning; flawless dial; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, scratch below rear center, dent to lower right perimeter of rear, crisp engine turning detail; bow pivots freely; good glass crystal.
